Dates and activities for Year 12 students

5/11/2018
Dear Parents/Guardians,
With only 2 weeks left here is a rundown of dates and activities for Year 12 students.
Monday November 5th – Normal classes.  Students will be given “clearance forms” which they must have signed by relevant departments within the School to ensure they have returned all texts etc.  This is due Tuesday 13th November.
Tuesday November 6th– Final Day of classes with Valedictory Rehearsal.  Valedictory RSVPs due to the office.  Silly sock day, where students are allowed to wear silly socks instead of white socks.   There should be no other uniform variations.
Wednesday November 7th- 14th– Final Block Exams as per Exam Schedule.  Additionally, students who have outstanding work will be assigned compulsory sessions when they must come in to complete assessment.  Otherwise students are not required at school.  Full uniform must be worn whenever students are in the school grounds and they must sign in and out at the office, as per previous exams.  Once students are at School they must stay until they are ready to leave for home.  They are not allowed to leave, go have lunch, and then return.  All extensions for assessment must be applied for through Mrs Seymour, Yr 12 Deputy Principal, and have a medical certificate or supporting documentation.
Wednesday November 14th Selected students will be invited to complete the Year 12 gift of the mural on the side wall of the hall and the adjacent garden.  Full uniform must be worn.
Thursday November 15th
10:15am   Valedictory rehearsal for presenters and performers in the hall.
6:30pm for 7:00pm start.  Valedictory in the School hall.  It is compulsory for all students to attend.  Full formal uniform must be worn.  Students must be seated by 6:30 when pre-show entertainment begins.  Students must arrive at the time indicated on the attached note.  A ticket will be required for entry.
Friday November 16th Final day for block exam catch-up and outstanding assessment submission.  Similar expectations as Exam Block, in so much that only students who need to catch up are required at school.  Parents will be contacted regarding these arrangements if required, for their student.
To ensure you are up to date with school correspondence, please ensure the office has your correct contact details.  This is particularly vital now that Certificates etc will need to be posted.  Students have been asked to check details with Mrs Kerr for this reason.
Again, if you have any questions or queries, please don’t hesitate to contact me,
Kind Regards,
