Engagement News

The Engagement Team was a new addition to Caboolture High this year. We have been investing our time implementing support processes to ensure the continuous success of our students. During the last week of Term 3 and first week of Term 4, the Engagement Team celebrated student wellbeing through the promotion of RUOK Day and Mental Health Week.
RUOK Day was celebrated in style, with a free pancake breakfast and handball games against teachers.  The RUOK tent was set up all day for students and staff to check -in. Students could leave notes to ask a support person to check in with their friends. The highlight of the day was the lunch time concert, showcasing some of Caboolture High's music talent!
Mental Health Week was held during 6-14 October 2018. The school community hosted many events during the school week, including a free breakfast, presentation on health and nutrition, concert and lunch activities. Some staff members took the time to share hobbies with students such as dance, embroidery, fishing, relaxation art and origami.
Now that the sports season is over, students have been placed in multi-year level groups to work on community projects. These projects come from the imagination of students and are facilitated by the students. Students will navigate over speedbumps and around roadblocks to put their project in motion. Although these projects have only just begun, there are some fantastic ideas ranging from painting a mural, to teaching English via telecommunications.
