High Resolves

On Friday 7 September students were running around searching for some of the 500 eggs hidden around the school.  This was the start of the activities that the Year 9 High Resolves Action group are running to promote causes, raise awareness of issues or fundraise for different charities.
At lunchtime, those students who had located an egg traded it in for a prize as well as a special well-being message.  All students could also purchase a sausage on bread or a cupcake.  Other activities included throwing sponges at teachers, disability relays, a dress-up photo booth as well as a dance battle.  The Year 9s who organised the day, also performed a flash mob. Other groups have produced videos and a flash game that will be used to promote their messages.
The Year 9 students planned and organised the activities throughout Terms 2 & 3 and appreciated the support of students and staff on the day.
Students and staff would like to give a special thanks to Joel Bugden & Meatland at North Lakes for donating the sausages for the BBQ and to the Gonzales & Verba families for donating ingredients and baking cupcakes and brownies.
