Reboot report

Term 4 has seen students and staff work together to design, develop and complete a community-based project. Students were put into classes with a mixture of Year 7 to Year 11 students. The concept was to allow students to use skills they have learnt during Reboot lessons this year to help our local community.
Students were given the opportunity to collaborate with people they would not normally have an opportunity to work with. They were able to create their own project that would be completed during Wednesday, Period 4 lessons over the duration of Term 4.
The students have taken this opportunity on board with great enthusiasm, respect, and maturity. Groups have worked on improving our community by:
·         School Garden improvements
·         Making toys (dice and oversized Jenga) for our Special Education Unit
·         Tie–dyeing socks and pillow cases for patients at Caboolture Base Hospital
·         Designing and building bird boxes to be placed around our school grounds
·         Donation drives to help the RSPCA
·         Care packages for the homeless and needy
·         Murals to promote positive thoughts on the school buildings
·         Christmas decorations
These are only some of the amazing projects the students and staff have been completing this term. With the emphasis on improving communication and developing a stronger school community, we have been able to also help our wider community.
Thank you to all involved with Reboot and the community projects throughout the year!
Thank you for a fantastic year J
