Say No to Bullying

On Friday 16 March, students gathered in the hall at lunch to experience the Bullying No Way Expo organised by Year 12 Health students. The hall was filled with people, buzzing from stall to stall, checking out the colourful flags at the Q-life table, throwing Frisbees from Kids’ Helpline and enjoying the colourful stickers the Year 12 Health class were plastering everywhere.
Colour and joy filled the hall as DJ Skullduggery’s music was pumped through the speakers and the special guests did parkour on our hall stage. Students from every grade and friendship group were able to seek help, give advice and find new friends in this busy hustle and bustle of a mixer.  Special recognition must go to Aneesa Muller and her band of merry actors, for the video they produced.
Aspiring football players were able to meet Bronco’s player, Jack Reed and get advice on how to further their career. The mood turned sombre as The Project’s coverage of Dolly’s Dream was played over the projector and there was not a dry eye in the building. This lunchtime, though small and simple, gave students at Caboolture SHS the opportunity to come together, find harmony and stand together against bullying.
