"Voices from Afar" Exhibition

Earlier this year, you would have heard Callum Young, of Year 11, talk to the various assemblies about his trip to Turkey, Belgium and France in April/May as part of the Premier’s ANZAC Prize.  When Callum came home to Australia however, he had to begin work on a special project for the State Library.
Callum, along with 14 other ANZAC Prize students from Queensland, volunteered to put together a Museum Exhibition. The students had to come up with an initial concept and design the whole project themselves and then send items off to be printed and wall-papered and then they had to build the displays themselves.  The result was an exhibition entitled “Voices from Afar” which had its grand opening on 31 July at the State Library.
The “Voices from Afar” Exhibition is part of the 100 Years of ANZAC Project and part of the much bigger “Distant Lines” Exhibition running all year at the State Library.  Congratulations to Callum Young who now has a Museum Exhibition to his credit.  The “Voices from Afar” Exhibition will run at the State Library at Southbank until 27 September.
