Year 12s signing off

So I’m writing my last newsletter article for the 2017, Year 12 cohort. It has been a busy year, and an especially busy final term. Induction, Anzac services, Ski Trip, QCS, Formal, Academic Awards Night, and finally, Valedictory.
Thursday 16 November, saw the final roll call for the graduating class of 2017. It has been a pleasure to celebrate the achievements of the 182 graduates of 2017. As part of your Valedictory packages, you will receive a voucher to collect the school magazine (due to delays in the printing processes they were unavailable for the packages). Photos for the evening will be made available for students who would like photos of their final evening wearing bottle green, white and grey.
A congratulations to the students in Year 12 who were awarded Academic Distinction Awards, winners of the Subject Awards, Spirit Awards and each of those Special Awards. Achieving this level of success at this point in your schooling is a credit to you and the hard work you have put in. As you say goodbye to formal schooling, uniforms and bell times, and move towards full time employment, further study and adulthood, on behalf of the teaching staff of Caboolture State High School, I’d like to take the opportunity to say congratulations and good luck. Finishing on the note of further study, and opportunities for the Year 12 cohort, I’d like to tell each and every one of you not to just dream of success, create a plan and act upon it! It is your momentum that creates the doors that open when opportunity knocks.
