Year 9s Celebrate World Teachers' Day

School spirit was certainly evident when students from the Year 9 cohort celebrated World Teachers’ Day on Friday, 25 October 2013.  Students were quite enthusiastic about acknowledging the staff body here at Caboolture State High School.
Each and every Year 9 student sent out a personalised and thoughtfully-written certificate to a teacher of their choice, acknowledging their fantastic efforts, qualities and contributions.
Students commented on how valuable the celebration was with Adrian Proctor of 9S2 saying, “I think the teachers deserve to be rewarded for the great job they do. I hope they know how much we appreaciate all their hard work.” In addition, Amelia Hamilton of 9F2 said, “I wrote my certificate for Mr Shandil. I thought it was good to have the opportunity to thank him for being there to support me with my learning in Science. When I don’t understand something in class, he always makes an extra effort to explain it in a way that make sense to me.” It is pleasing to see evidence of such positive student-teacher relationships as we work together to achieve excellent learning outcomes.
I would like to thank all Year 9s for their kind words which made World Teacher’s Day so special for our school’s educators this year!
