LearnIT is Caboolture State High School's ICT immersion program for students in Years 7 to 10 and is an Education Queensland Program of Excellence.

LearnIT is:  


  • Caboolture State High School has been delivering 1:1 education in the junior school since 2002. Our program has a core of experienced teachers, confident and well-qualified when it comes to elearning  

  • LearnIT  classes comprise students who have completed an interview process and been selected based on evidence of academic success, behaviour and work ethic

  • A high level of ICT competence is achieved through the immersion style of learning, providing a valuable skill set for use in all subjects and the real world

  • LearnIT has a proud tradition of success across the school community in both academic and extracurricular fields

  • Our well-established system of service and support ensures students have a rewarding experience with technology


  • High achieving students continue to be part of an extension focus

  • Students enter LearnIT equipped with a tablet notebook carefully selected for performance, durability, size and weight (Toshiba Portege Z20T 2016)

  • Through tablet technology and a wide range of learning experiences, students learn, create and communicate in diverse ways

  • Electronic and web-based course materials provide students with a portable educational toolkit

  • Students have the opportunity to achieve a Certificate ll in Information, Digital Media and Technology by the end of Year 10

  • LearnIT provides a seamless transition for students into eSenior, CSHS’s Senior Secondary 1:1 program


  • LearnIT  fosters a positive culture and students form lasting bonds with peers and teachers

  • Individual needs are met through tailored organisation and delivery

  • Students learn many life skills through working closely with technology including the importance of being ethical, responsible users

  • Participation, success and personal growth are highly valued in LearnIT.  Students have many opportunities to be involved in a range of extension and extracurricular activities

 To find out how your child might benefit from this program and how to participate, please feel free to:

  • attend an information session at the school's Open Day on Sunday, May 29

  • for people who miss the Open Day a second information session will be held on Monday September 4 at 9.30am. This will be followed by a tour of LearnIT classrooms to see the program in action. To help with the coordination of this event please register your interest

  • Register your interest in visiting us during a school day to hear information, ask questions and see LearnIT in action

 Interviews for 2018 will begin in June, 2017. To book an interview, you will need to complete the Interview Request Form and LearnIT Agreement and bring them with a $50 deposit* to the school Office.

* Please note, the deposit is non-refundable for students who elect not to join the program and enrol in another school.
