Message from Principal, Fiona Free.
On Wednesday 17 June, we will host both the AGM and the first P & C meeting for 2020 at 6pm the administration centre. Access to this building through the Lee Street main entrance. Staff will be ready to guide you. At this meeting we will be farewelling our fabulous P & C executive team who will all step down from their positions. We have been very lucky to have had such a strong team over the last few years and through their work, our school is a better place.
Our school needs a strong P & C. Please consider volunteering for one of these positions, attending this meeting and send your nomination directly through to CSHS_PandC@outlook.com, or call the office and make an appointment with me if you would like to discuss what is involved.
Caboolture State High School's Parents and Citizens Association (P&C) represents the interests of our school community. It also plays an important financial role in our school, supporting programs and assisting the purchase of new resources. It has, in recent years, funded the air conditioning now enjoyed in all classrooms and also the new showers and change rooms at our gymnasium.
Our P & C usually meets on the fourth Wednesday of each month at 6.00 pm. Meetings are held from February to November inclusive with the February meeting being the association's annual general meeting.
The meetings provide an opportunity for parents and caregivers to meet with the principal, contribute to school budgetary discussions and hear firsthand about school events and activities. The P & C President also joins us on the School Council. The school's tuckshop is managed by the P&C and new volunteers are always welcome. All parents and friends are earnestly requested to become active members of the P & C and play a role in promoting the welfare of the school.
A big thank you to our outgoing 2019 Executive Team:
•President: Carolyn Hurley
•Vice President: Sylvia Starkey
•Secretary: Lisa Mangan
•Treasurer: Janet Thomson
