Instrumental music

Students can enter the school's instrumental music program to receive tuition in small groups from an instrumental music teacher employed by the Department of Education and Training (DET). Woodwind, brass, and percussion instruction is available to students.

Students who have their own instruments and need tuition can join the program. If a student wishes to join the program and does not have an instrument, he or she can borrow an instrument from the school for twelve months. At the end of that time, if the student wishes to continue in the program, it is expected that the parents will buy an instrument.

Instruments available at the school on loan include baritone, bassoon, clarinet, flute, French horn, oboe, percussion, saxophone, trombone, trumpet and tuba.
