All students can take part in activities at the farm as part of their studies, sport or just in their own time. They are welcome to get involved each day before school or during lunch on a Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday.
The farm offers a wide range of agricultural experiences through our active Braford cattle stud, poultry hens, miniature horses, alpacas, beehives, macadamia trees, pastures, cropping area, plant nursery and vegetable patches. Fencing and irrigation work are ongoing activities for students to also help with.
While activities may vary from year to year, students are generally able to participate in:
- before school feeding of animals from 8.00 to 8.30 am every school day
- lunchtime activities to exercise and groom animals or work on plant projects
- numerous shows entered by the agriculture department
- building of show displays for the Caboolture and Royal Brisbane Shows (Ekka) during lunchtimes and before school.
