Student Council Representative Team forms in Year 11. The role of the Student Council is to support the school and community environment.
President:
- Call Student Council meetings as required
- Coordinate and Organise Leadership Forums
- Keep Junior Forum Chair informed of meetings
- Preside over and maintain order at all Student Council meetings
- Provide an excellent role model for all students
- Secure and maintain cooperation and good relations amongst all Student Council members
- Have the enthusiasm and competence to provide the impetus required to lead and to maintain interest in the Student Council
Vice-President:
- Assume all presidential duties in event of the President's absence
- Perform all tasks delegated by the President or Student Council
- Assist with Presidential tasks where necessary
- Provide an excellent role model for all students
- Encourage cooperation and good relations amongst all Student Council members
Secretary:
- Record and maintain the minutes of all Student Council Meetings
- Receive and send all student Council correspondence
- Encourage cooperation and good relations amongst all Student Council members
- Promote the activities of the Student Council
Treasurer:
- Maintain the financial records of the Student Council
- Prepare and control the Student Council budget
- Coordinate the fund raising of the Student Council
- Encourage cooperation and good relations amongst all Student Council members
Role of Committee Chairperson:
- Establish and form their respective committees by inviting suitable students to participate
- Chair all meetings of their respective committees and perform all tasks associated with their committees
- Report on decisions and activities of their respective committees to the Student Council
Student Welfare and Committee Chair:
- To familiarise themselves and become aware of the welfare needs of students in the school
- To work towards the improvement of the welfare of all students in the school
- To organise events and activities which promote the welfare of all students in the school
Activities and Sports Committee Chair:
- To promote school sporting events and student involvement in sport
- To assist in the organisation and running of school sporting events where required
- To organise and facilitate inter-house and year-level sporting competitions including lunch time sport where appropriate
Community Support Committee Chair:
- To develop and promote a good, positive and supportive relationship with the local community
- To familiarise themselves and become aware of the needs of the general community
- To encourage student support and involvement in community service
Environment Committee Chair:
- To work towards the improvement of the school and world environment in a variety of ways
- To lead working bees, where necessary, to improve and maintain the school environment
