At Caboolture SHS we have two social workers to support students throughout their educational journey.

The role of the School-Based Social Worker is to enhance the mental health and overall wellbeing of students. This is achieved through providing therapeutic and needs-focused support through individual sessions, group work and/or support to families as  required.

Social workers can also assist in organising referral pathways to external organisations to  support the needs of students and their families where necessary.

Social workers can provide young people the opportunity to talk about their issues and concerns through individual support and weekly support groups. The goal is to create safe spaces where young people can support each other, make meaningful connections, and overcome life challenges.

To receive ongoing support from the School-Based Social Worker, referrals  are received by the year-level Guidance Officers.
